San Diego County Law Library's January 2006 MCLE Programs

San Diego County Public Law Library's January 2006 MCLE Programs
The days are quickly passing for State Bar members whose last names begin with the letters H-M to fulfill their MCLE requirements as their compliance period ends January 31, 2006.
As one of the benefits of SDCPLL membership for attorney members, the Library again will be offering FREE participatory credit programs at both the Main Library and the North County Branch. The Library is proud to be a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider. Registration is limited, so please call early to reserve your place.
In addition, the Library will once again provide noon time video presentations on the three required subject areas: ethics, bias and substance abuse/emotional distress. Sign up and bring your lunch as the Library lifts its usual "no food" rule for these programs.
This year the Library is also excited to offer two live Legal Ethics programs given by ethics expert David Carr on Wednesday, January 11th and Wednesday, January 25th. On January 11th, Mr. Carr will discuss "Ten Ways to Earn State Bar Discipline (and How to Avoid Them). On January 25th, his topic will be, "Ethical Lawyering Advertising in the Electronic Age."
We will also have a return visit from Edward Pscheidt, who did a wonderful presentation on computer forensics evidence in September. His topic in January will be "Your Warning Label for the Internet," or how to protect your computer from hackers and other problems.
Once again, Tuesday, January 31st will be "cram" day at the Main Library with video programs running from 8:30am until 5:45pm.
To register for programs at the Main Library, please call 619-531-3900. For North County Branch registration, please call 760-940-4386.
