Criminal Law for Civil Attorneys

Date: Thursday, July 9, 2009 12-1:00p.m.

Presented by: Anthony J. Solare, Esq.

Have you had family or friends turn to you for help when they get arrested?

Do you occasionally get presented with criminal law cases and aren’t quite sure if you remember enough from the bar exam to successfully handle the case?

With these tough economic times before us, branching out into other areas of practice may be essential. Here’s your chance to re-learn the basics of criminal law without going back to law school. Review such issues as: arrest and release procedures; arraignments; preliminary hearings; discovery and pretrial motions; plea bargains; what to expect if you go to trial; and judgment and sentencing.

So bring your lunch and join us for this criminal law overview!

About the Speaker.
A graduate of California Western School of Law, Mr. Solare spent the first five years of his career as a prosecutor for the City of San Diego. For the past thirteen years he has built and expanded his criminal defense practice. Because Mr. Solare has worked as a prosecutor, he is able to anticipate the strategies of prosecutors and other lawyers. Mr. Solare gained his litigation experience from over 100 jury trials.
