Youth
Services - Guardianship Legal Clinic
Responsible adults who are residents of San Diego County can attend weekly
clinics for assistance in obtaining legal guardianship of children who have been
abused, neglected, or abandoned by their parents. Appointments are not necessary
and applicants must meet financial eligibility requirements and be residents of
San Diego County. The San Diego Volunteer Lawyer's weekly clinics, held in cooperation
with the Probate Court and the Probate Examiner's Office are as follows:

Free Legal Clinics
The Law Library is pleased to announce a continuing
partnership with the University of San Diego School of Law for the
Spring 2010 semester. The Library will host a free walk-in legal
clinic supervised by a USD Law School Professor and staffed by USD
Law School students. The clinics will provide assistance on most
civil matters, excluding family law. The clinic cannot provide information
in criminal or bankruptcy cases.
The SDCPLL/USD Legal Clinics will be held at the
Law Library's downtown location at 1105 Front Street on the following

the attendee checks in as required on the day of the clinic.

On the day of the clinic, all persons who have
previously signed up must confirm their reservation
in person thirty (30) minutes before the start of their assigned
times.
Walk-ins on the day of the clinic may be permitted
if time and staffing permit.

Tax Clinics for Low Income Taxpayers
The Legal Aid Society conducts free tax clinics held
at the San Diego County Public Law Library, Main
Library, 1105 Front Street, San
Diego, CA 92101. The clinics are usually held every last Wednesday
of the month, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.. Check SDCPLL's online
calendars for specific dates and time changes.

The Joslyn Senior Center offers a free legal clinic from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesdays
for seniors, the disabled, low income, and minorities. Sponsored by the Senior
Service Council, Escondido, this clinic provides assistance with civil matters
such as reviewing wills or divorce. An appointment is necessary to meet with a
volunteer attorney at these clinics.

The Del Mar Community Connections Legal Center provides legal services in civil
matters including consumer complaints, age discrimination, fraud, abuse and neglect,
landlord-tenant issues, family law, social security and benefits issues. This
clinic is usually held every last Friday of the month from 1-5 p.m. Appointment
must be made in advance. To schedule an appointment you must be over 60 years
old and a resident of the City of Del Mar.
