What is Law Week?

In 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaimed Law Day to “strengthen our great heritage of liberty, justice, and equality under the law.” This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the American Bar Association’s celebration of this important event. This year’s theme is The Rule of Law: Foundation for Communities of Opportunity and Equity. The San Diego County Public Law Library feels that this is such an important event, we have expanded Law Day into Law Week! Please join us for our programs, legal clinics and contests.

Free Legal Clinics

Do you need some free legal advice? There are several FREE legal clinics available throughout the county during Law Week. Visit our Free Legal Clinics page for more information on subject areas covered, dates/times and locations.

Free Programs & MCLE Credit

Join us for special lectures celebrating the Rule of Law. All of our Law Week programs are FREE to the general public and some are available for MCLE credit. Review our programs by day or by location.
