at Risk Book Drive

| About the Book Drive |
The Book Drive is coordinated by the San Diego County Bar Associations's
(SDCBA) Children at Risk Committee and co-sponsored by Law Week and the San Diego
Paralegal Association. |
Two ways to help! |
(1) The SDCBA Children's Book Drive kicks
off with the start of Law Week and runs April 26th
through May 30th.
(2) As part of the Book Drive, a book fair
will be held on April 28th and 29th
at the:
Downtown Federal Building
Cafeteria - on the 2nd floor
880 Front Street,
San Diego, CA 92101
When: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. |
| What we need |
Patrons are encouraged to donate new and gently used books
for children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Don't have any books to donate? Stop by the book fair. |
| Who benefits |
Donated books will be given to local public schools, including Porter
Elementary and Madison High School, as well as the Children's Waiting Room at
the Family Justice Center. |
| Donating at the Book Drive |
During the Book Drive, books will be accepted, during working hours, at
drop-off boxes located throughout the County, including the following locations:

The book fair will be held through Scholastics, and books for all ages will
be
available:
- for personal purchase, or
- to purchase and donate to the Book
Drive.
Scholastics will also give a percentage of the total proceeds earned
back to the Book Drive, that will be used to purchase additional new
children's books. |
